This Home School Association sponsored BYOB event is a time for our parent community to mingle in a casual environment. Bring your favorite appetizer and plan on joining in for a fun night of music, games and comradere!
Back to School Family Picnic and Ice Cream Social
Our annual Back to School Family Picnic and Ice Cream Social is held during our first full week back to school. Families, Faculty and Staff have an opportunity to mingle while perusing the offerings of area local businesses. Bring your favorite picnic dinner and enjoy an ice cream treat on us!
Breakfast with Santa
An annual tradition for over 25 years, Breakfast with Santa is one of our most popular events. The first weekend in December, families gather for a traditional pancake and sausage breakfast before setting off to meet Santa and visit the Secret Santa Shop. Trees and Greens are also available for purchase and local vendors are present, displaying beautiful and unique gift ideas.
Faculty vs. 8th Grade Basketball Game
This fun, family orientated evening, is always a huge success! The 8th Grade class takes on the faculty for a high-spirited game of Basketball in the spring, with the Spirit club and underclassman in attendance, cheering them on. Proceeds from the event supplement the costs of 8th grade graduation year celebrations.
Church Clean Up
Families are invited to support the parishes by cleaning up the church grounds by raking, mulching, and general other grounds maintenance to earn volunteer hours. Clean up dates are scheduled through out the year.
5K and Family Fun Run Night
The Home School Association hosts a family movie night for the school and parish community in the spring. Families gather with lawn chairs, blankets, food and drinks in the school parking lot for an outdoor movie night. Movie choice is voted on by the school community to insure it is a hit for all!
The Mothers' Tea is a an opportunity for our mothers to share a quiet morning together, while enjoying a breakfast assortment of coffee, juice and hors d'oeuvres.
Designer Bag Bingo
The Bag Bingo is held in the school cafeteria each spring. Parents may make voluntarily monetary donations so the committee may purchase the bags and items to fill the bags, which are given out as prizes. This event is open to friends and family of Resurrection-St. Paul School as well as parishioners.
Special School Guests
Donuts for Dads
All Dads, or a male who is significant to the student(s), are invited to come in to the school cafeteria prior to the school day to enjoy donuts, coffee, and juice with their child(ren).Following a brief visit to the classrooms(s), all visitors will be asked to leave school after morning announcements. This is annual spring event, typically in March.
Every fall, our Grandparents are invited to the school for morning refreshments and a classroom visit where the students have prepared something special for them. The morning concludes in the church with a memorable presentation by each class.
All Moms, or a female who is significant to the student(s), are invited to come in to the school cafeteria prior to the school day to enjoy donuts, coffee, and juice with their child(ren). Following a brief visit to the classrooms(s), all visitors will be asked to leave school after morning announcements. All visitors are invited to return later in the morning for our May Crowing Celebration.
Opportunities for Family Support
Scholastic Book Fairs
In the fall and spring of each year, Scholastic Book Fair is set up in our media center. All classes have the opportunity to visit the fair either during class or a recess period. Parents are encouraged to visit as well to shop the wide variety of books and games. Monies raised go toward keeping our media center filled with great books, puzzles, and other various forms of media.
Barnes & Noble Book Fair
In early December, we have a book fair at the Barnes & Noble located in Long Gate Shopping Center. The book fair runs all day but from 6:00-8:00 p.m. our faculty and staff (and Panther) are there reading stories and wrapping your purchases. Our school choir also performs some Christmas carols for patrons.
Throughout the year, RSPS hosts fundraisers at a local restaurants. Many families get together and dine out to support the school at these events. We are grateful to the many local restaurants that support our school. These events are on our school calendar.
Trees and Greens
Families are able to purchase their Christmas Trees and other fresh greens for Christmas at the school. Items are available for presale or for purchase during our annual Breakfast with Santa event.
In partnership with the Church of the Resurrection and St. Paul Parish, we hold a fun family event in the fall that includes food, entertainment and so much more! This event benefits the school and parishes.
Our Gala event is always a big hit! Whether it is a formal affair or casual Bull Roast, guests always have a great evening supporting RSPS. Most prized raffles and auction items include special carpool parking space, teacher experiences, and class projects.
