Resurrection-St. Paul School, a Howard County Catholic School, earned the prestigious distinction of being a U.S. Department of Education Blue Ribbon School of Excellence in 2009.
What is a U.S. Department of Education Blue Ribbon School of Excellence?
The U.S. Department of Education Blue Ribbon School Program honors public and private elementary, middle, and high schools that qualify for the program through one of two assessment criteria:
- Schools having forty percent of their students from disadvantaged backgrounds that have dramatically improved student performance in accordance with assessment systems, or
- Schools having scored in the top ten percent on assessments.
Resurrection-St. Paul School earned Blue Ribbon status by achieving assessment scores in the top ten percent of schools in the nation.
Each year since being awarded this honor, Resurrection-St. Paul School has achieved assessment scores consistent with the Blue Ribbon criteria. By doing so, we maintain the Blue Ribbon School of Excellence status. We are proud to call ourselves one of the select Howard County Blue Ribbon Schools.
