VALUE OF THE MONTH
It's hard to believe that it is February already. The Values we will focus on this month are Courage and Hard Work. Courage is more than just being brave. It is a mental and moral strength to persevere fear or difficulty. It challenges us to be Catholic in a culture that often discourages faith values. Our media often portray people of faith in unflattering ways making it "scary" for believers to feel comfortable sharing their faith in Jesus. But following our faith will give us courage: Joshua said to them, “Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged. Be strong and courageous. This is what the LORD will do to all the enemies you are
going to fight.” - Joshua 10:24-26. Hard Work is self explanatory but so important to teach as children grow up. A quote (unknown) that I really like that kids can relate to is: "The daily grind of hard work gets a person polished" (perhaps there is a science lesson there too).

Fun Stuff
We were delighted to see so many of our families here this morning. We thank you for taking the time to check out the fun and learning here. We will be sending home a gift for you with the youngest today to show our appreciation for choosing Resurrection-St. Paul School!
TOMORROW is Student Appreciation Day and we are celebrating by having an out of uniform day. Since it is Super Bowl weekend and we have already had our Ravens Purple Fridays, this is for the other fans in our community. However, NFL attire is not required!
Don't forget Friday is a 12:30 dismissal with NO bus service and NO After-Care.
