STAND Training
STAND POLICY:
- The Archdiocese of Baltimore requires that all adults (age 18 and older) that volunteer in positions that come into contact with minors obtain STAND certification.
- Youth volunteers between 14 and 17 years of age must complete "Worthy of the Call" training through their parish.
- STAND certification is good for 5 years at which time a re-screening will occur (but you will not need to attend training a second time).
- A STAND card must be worn at all times while in the building volunteering.
CERTIFICATION PROCEDURE:
STAND certification consists of 3 parts; view the online training session, complete the forms linked below, and return them to the school office.
PART I: online training:
- Go to the STAND training website
- Read page and click link to training site:
- For the user name type: resurrectionstpaul
- For the password type: archbalt
- Follow online instructions and print the online training certificate (the session takes approximately 2 hours and a 21 question assessment must be successfully completed in order to print a certificate)
PART II: complete paperwork
- Read the following online documents:
- Print and complete the attached forms:
- STAND Application (signing this is an acknowledgement that you have read the Code of Conduct and Statement of Policy, above)
- STAND Consent for Screening
Part III: send paperwork (online training certificate, application and consent form)
- Send with a student to: STAND Office
- Mail to: Resurrection-St. Paul School, Attn: STAND Office, 3155 Paulskirk Drive, Ellicott City, MD 21042
Once your paperwork is received, it will be processed and a card will be issued. You are not considered STAND certified until a card has been issued.
