Resurrection-St. Paul School is proud to share our awards and honors:

U.S. Department of Education Blue Ribbon School of Excellence

In 2009, Resurrection-St. Paul School was awarded Blue Ribbon status by the U.S. Department of Education and continues to maintain the high standards in order to hold this status.

State of Maryland Green School

In May of 2019, Resurrection-St. Paul School received a renewal of the Green School Award by the Maryland Association of Environmental and Outdoor Education (MAEOE).  The school has held this certification since May of 2015.  The award shows the progress towards achieving the Maryland State Department of Education (MSDE) environmental literacy requirement. The Maryland Green Schools Program is nationally recognized program that provides a framework for creating sustainable environmental structures at school, home and in the community.

Positive Behavior Interventions & Supports (PBIS) Gold Award

In 2012, Resurrection-St. Paul School instituted a Positive Behavior Interventions & Supports (PBIS) program. Each year, we have earned the highest award available based on the years involved, beginning with the Bronze Award. RSPS currently holds the Gold Award.  We have earned the Gold Award each year since the Spring of 2016.  

Cognia School

Cognia STEM School Award

Resurrection-St. Paul School is a Howard County STEM certified school.  Resurrection-St Paul School’s curriculum is used with an intentional focus and cross curricular collaboration on science, technology, engineering, and math.  Through valid and reliable processes, tools and training, Cognia STEM Certification ensures that even the most effective educators and programs continually assess and improve to meet the needs and demands of the real world.

Maryland Art Council Artist in Residence Grant Recipient

Since 2011, Resurrection-St. Paul School has been an annual recipient of the Maryland Art Council Artist in Residence Grant.  A YA artist-in-residence program brings a professional teaching artist into the classroom to work alongside teachers and students by integrating their art form into the curriculum.  Residencies are hands-on, intensive arts workshops that engage students in creative experiences and bring joyful learning into the classroom.

Be A Natural Gas Safety Hero

In 2018, Resurrection-St. Paul School was awarded $10,000 for winning The Adventures of Captain Mercaptan® Natural Gas Safety Hero Challenge.  The challenge is an annual contest that focuses on natural gas safety.
