VALUE OF THE MONTH
The Value for the month of January is Tolerance. As students grow up and become members of a global community, it is important for them to respect cultures and beliefs that differ from their own. This is a value that will grow over time as their worlds expand. For many students, it begins at home with siblings and at school with other students. Tolerance is a value that can be used in every aspect of life. Unfortunately, our world is full of examples of how intolerance contributes to aggression and while difficult, these can be "teachable moments" for older students.
